The radio operator’s certificate is an indispensable training that everyone who thinks about steering a yacht must take. This certificate must be held by at least one person in the crew of the sea yacht, on which the maritime communications equipment is located (and virtually they are located on every sea yacht).

It is a one-day course; However, it is worth preparing for it a few days in advance, for example, by mastering the alphabet. The right knowledge of it is one of the most important skill when using an FM radio station outside the borders of your country. In addition to the alphabet, the course includes a dozen selected elements related to the operation of the sea radio. These are extremely practical skills. An inseparable element of the training are practical exercises on the real radio stations. The course lasts from 5 to 7 hours depending on the number of participants and ends with a test on the same day.

During the course you will gain the essential knowledge from competent and experienced instructors on how to communicate in distress, call for help, use devices on a yacht, receive weather forecasts and navigation warnings, you will learn how to communicate harbor administration or port captains, border guards, other units…
