We invite you to the weekly training cruises that we organize, which allow you to obtain the rights of the Croatian skipper – Voditelj Brodice. Our course covers topics such a navigation, basic knowledge of yacht construction and equipement, maritime law and meteorology, port maneuvers, international and local regulations, first aid, radio operator’s training and a large dose of practice.

The Voditelj Brodice patent is valid and recognized only in Croatia. You must be 16 years of age or older and pass an exam in sailing knowledge and skills before a Croatian commission. With this patent, there is no need for an additional SRC radio operator certificate, as it is a part of training and exam as well.

Such a license entitles you to steer sailing and motor yachts with a total weight of up to 30 tons (up to 12 meters yacht length). No privious experience is required to obtain these qualifications. From 16 to 18 years of age, the engine power is limited to 15 KW.

The exam is taken in one of Harbor Master’s Offices in Croatia in English, German or Croatian. A basic knowledge of one of these languages ​​is enough. The fee for the exam and issuing the Voditelj Brodice patent is approximately 115 Euro (860 kuna) payable on the spot in cash.

With this certificate, you can operate your own or chartered  yacht. The charter agency will check which yacht offer is covered by the license. In practice, these are almost all sizes of the most popular charter yacht and motorboats.

No training is required to prepare for the Voditelj  Brodice category B examination. Also, no navigation experience is required. However, we recommend taking part in our course due to the large amount of material, responsible attitude in the water, and for the safety of you and the others. Above all, it is worth gaining experience in sailing, what is most important, in the company of an authorized and competent skipper.
